LLW Repository Ltd provides a range of waste management services to help Customers manage their lower activity wastes. Our services provide cost effective solutions to lower activity waste management activities and include a dedicated Customer Team to give support to Customers using our services.
We are also supporting our Customers and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority to meet Government policy and strategy for managing lower activity wastes by providing new waste treatment services to reduce disposal volumes and preserve capacity at the national Low Level Waste Repository.
Our overall objective in providing services is to provide value to our Customers and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority by seeking opportunities to minimise the cost of waste management for low level radioactive waste by reducing the volume of waste that must be disposed of at the Low Level Waste Repository.
We offer Support, Packaging, Treatment and Disposal Services to our Customers through the Waste Services Contract.
We are continually devising new services for Customers. These include establishing new treatment options to reduce waste volumes and alternative disposal routes for very low level waste. We are also developing new support services such as waste characterisation, to help Customers sort and segregate their waste effectively. We are developing new transport services to support greater integration of low level waste transport by road and rail. This includes developing our container fleet to make the transport and disposal of waste more efficient.
