Dick Raaz, the popular American MD of LLWR, departs for pastures new but not before ensuring that the Repository is in a safe pair of hands. Dick has been preparing his deputy Dennis Thompson for this eventuality almost from the day he took up the position. Dick says “succession planning is a component part of a successful business. It is important to identify at an early stage who will pick up the reigns in your absence and who can best take the business forward. Dennis displayed the right skills set and values from an early stage and I have every confidence in his ability to build on the foundation I have established.”
