The 10th National Low Level Waste Strategy Group meeting was held in Chelmsford on 22nd July 2010, hosted by Magnox South.  

The overall purpose for this important meeting was to update membership on the status of the imminent review by Government of our final submission of the UK Nuclear Industry LLW Strategy. Other agenda topics included: 

  • Regulator update and Planning considerations in LLW Management
  • Acceleration of Element 2 Strategy (ACCELS) programme;
  • Agree mission and purpose moving forward & review membership and group name
  • UK Nuclear Industry LLW Management Plan initiatives and results
