Draft Proposals
1. First Customer Workshops
The first stage of developing the Waste Services Contract commenced in January 2009. Two workshops were held with our customers to share our outline ideas and obtain input and feedback to support the development of draft proposals.
The workshops were held in Penrith on 26th January and Bristol on 27th January. The workshop included a presentation from LLW Repository Ltd giving an overview of the new contract. The presentation is available below in Powerpoint and PDF formats. A Note for the Record has been preapred that consolidates all the questions and comments from the two Workshops. This is also available below in PDF format.

2. Second Contract Workshops
A second round of Customer Workshops to support the development of the Waste Services Contract took place in September 2009. Workshops were held in Penrith on the 28th September and Bristol on 30th September to share our Draft Contract Proposals and obtain input and feedback on our new arrangements.
The workshop included an overview of the new Waste Services Contract, an update on the service pricing proposals and draft process flow diagrams explaining the Waste Accestance processes and procedures which will form part of the new Agreement.

3. Waste Services Contract - First and Second Draft Proposals
This section contains links to the Second Draft Proposals, published on 25th January 2010, and the First Draft Proposals, published in October 2009, in italics for completeness. The Waste Services Contract consists of the main Terms and a series of Contract Schedules. The Proposals are presented below in this structure. The Contract Structure Overview provides a Visual Index of the elements that make up the Contract.

This is the main body of the contract including the Terms, the Conditions of Contract in Schedule 1, the Contract Data in Schedule 2 and the Waste Service Options in Schedule 3.

Schedule 1 - Conditions of Contract
The Conditions of Contract are included within the Terms and form part of the main body of the Waste Services Contract.
Schedule 2 - Contract Data
The Contract Data is included within the Terms and forms part of the main body of the Waste Services Contract. To support the preparation of the Contract Data for each Customer, a Contact Details Form has been developed.

Schedule 3 - Waste Services
The Waste Service Options are included within the Terms and forms part of the main body of the Waste Services Contract.
Schedule 4 - Waste Acceptance Criteria
The Waste Acceptance Criteria will replace the current Conditions for Acceptance and provides details of what can be consigned under the Waste Services Contract. On the 1st April 2010, there will be four elements to the Waste Acceptance Criteria: Overview, Metallic, Supercompactable and Low Level relating to the available Waste Services. We intend to add Combustible Waste Treatment and Very Low Level Waste Disposal services in the future.
