As of the 1st April 2010, the Packaging Services procedure, as detailed in Schedule 6 of the Waste Services Contract, consists of a Process Diagram, a Guide, a Form and a Templates that are also part of the Waste Services Contract. The Waste Acceptance Procedure details how to consign waste to LLW Repository Ltd under the Waste Services Contract.

The Packaging Services Form is used to request a quotation for a Packaging Service from LLW Repository Ltd. The Form is to be completed by Customers and submitted to LLW Repository Ltd. The Form can be completed electronically and submitted to LLW Repository Ltd by e-mail.

Template
The Packaging Services Quotation Template is completed by LLW Repository Ltd and issued to Customers to provide a Quotation for a Packaging Service. The Template will be completed electronically and issued to the Customer by e-mail.

LLW Repository Ltd manages a fleet of container designs to be used for the transport and disposal of lower activity radioacitve wastes. We procure these containers, on behalf of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, to support low level waste management activities at their sites across the UK. We are also able to offer this service to all other Customers in the UK. LLW Repository supplies containers to Customers to meet their waste management needs. Each container is supplied with a Certificate of Approval and an Operating Instruction. Customers can request a quotation for the suppliy of containers by completing the Packaging Services Form, as detailed in Section 1 above.
Container Supply Conditions
Containers are supplied by LLW Repository Ltd under the Waste Services Contract in accordance with the Container Supply Conditions.

This document details the container types approved for use under the Waste Acceptance Criteria for use with the relevant waste treatment and disposal services offered by LLW Repository Ltd.
