On the 29th July 2007 LLW Repository Limited separated from the Sellafield site and became a stand alone site licence company. It is the first NDA site to go through the competition process.
Return of bulk PCM
July 2007 witnessed the return of all bulk PCM to Sellafield site following a long standing commitment to the local community to retrieve PCM brought to the site for storage in the 1960's.
Completion of PCM retrievals leads us to a new decommissioning phase of work, whilst at the same time increasing the LLW storage capacity on site to meet the expanding industry demands.
